For different applications Merck offers different reference materials e.g. Certipur® TOC standard that facilitates the calibration of TOC instruments and creates a reliable basis for your analyses. Specifically for the tobacco industry Merck has developed a standard for extraction using isopropanol. The reference material includes an internal standard for subsequent gas chromatographic analysis. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) involves the calibration of the temperature on a regular basis. For this purpose Merck has elaborated liquid crystal standards that allow the calibration in heating as well as in cooling modus.
